Batman vs Superman

Batman-vs-Superman-comics-n-stuffIs it a marketing ploy or just a coincidence that the latest issue of Batman Superman The New 52 came out the same week that we are told that Superman and Batman will be making a movie together? Who knows? One thing is for sure though, both are pretty epic!

Rumors are escalating through the superhero sphere as to what the new film will be called. Writer, David Goyer confirmed at San Diego Comic Con that the movie will either be Batman vs Superman or Superman vs Batman. I don’t know about you, but I find the lack of originality in that title a bit troublesome. Is that really the best they can do?

While Batman and Superman seem  to have a love/hate relationship that has been going on forever, we’ll all have to wait and see how two of the most popular superheroes in comic book history come together to make this blockbuster movie. In the meantime you can get caught up with their bromance drama in the comic book series Batman Superman The New 52.

This new series starts with Clark Kent chasing a story lead to the Gotham City where a misunderstanding has him and Batman throwing punches and determined to destroy each other (because obviously anyone who runs around in tights must be a villain). Of course, nothing as simple as that as mind games, teleporting and all manners of weirdness abound in this series. We will all have to wait to see how the story unfolds because issues 1 and 2 have left us a little confused.

If you haven’t grabbed your copies of these two books be sure to swing by one of our stores. Issue two just came out this week and we still have copies of issue one on the shelf.  In the meantime happy reading !
